New Zealand closed Group Stage with the win over Philippines at the FIBA Asia Cup. New Zealand posted a 92-75 to finish with a 2-1 record.
New Zealand started the game with a 30-16 run, whilst Philippines replied with a 22-16 rally in the second frame. In the second half, New Zealand dominated with two narrow wins for the final success.
Flynn Cameron (196-PG-2000) top-scored for the winners with 18 points and Taine Murray (196-SG-2002) netted 16. Kruz Perrott-Hunt (190-G-2000, college: S.Dakota) delivered 12 points, whilst Tohi Smith-Milner (206-F-1995, college: Polk State CC, agency: BIG) scored 11. Kiefer Isaac Ravena (181-G-1993) replied with 17 points in defeat, while Carl Tamayo (200-F-2001) and Karl Quiambao (190-F-2001) had 14 each.
